United by Music supports talented people with intellectual and physical disabilities and gives them the chance to perform blues and swing music onstage with a live band for the general public.Blues music has specifically been chosen because of its history in helping enslaved peoples (African Americans) to overcome oppression.
We are grateful for our special cooperation with blues diva Candye Kane (USA), who was recently nominated for a National Blues Foundation Music Award for Best Contemporary Blues female.

Become a volunteer! Without the hard work and dedication of volunteers, the artists of United by Music wouldn't be able to show their talent to a big audience. You can also become a United by Music volunteer! United by Music is always looking for motivated volunteers that can help at performances, as music teacher, during tours, during promotional activities and as 'blues mate' from on of our artists. There are all kinds of possibilities. United by Music enriches your life and gives you the feeling that you can really change some one's life. Interested?

.North American newsUnited by Music is busy starting a new non profit organization in North America. In the Summer of 2010 the artists of United by Music gave their first performance in America and ever since the preperations for a new organization are running. United by Music is always looking for new talented people with an intellectual disability. Every year auditions are being organised in the Netherlands and Belgium.
